I finished up my Ifixit disassembly guide yesterday, and it is live.
I'd say it does a better job then the service manual, and has better illustrations.

You can search for it on Ifixit or click the link.
    Link to guide here.

Any questions on certain parts, let me know.

I didn't do the LCD assembly unfortunately because I was a in a bit of a hurry.

Good guide, but never go fast when disassembling a laptop unless you absolutely know what you are doing OR you've taken apart your laptop so many times like me. It results in lost screws (hate it) or forgetting to put certain things in (I've been a victim of this multiple times lol)

Oh don't worry I took my time, and I have done many laptop repairs. No screws were lost, nor forgetting to connect cables.
While my time was limited, it was more then enough to conduct a safe disassembly. I just did not have time at the end for an LCD disassembly.

Hrm well I'm looking through the Dell service manual for the E6500, doesn't look terrible to disassemble, but that's what I'm finding with newer Dells, less complete disassembly. But also considering 80% of the guts are through that door, you got an easy model to disassemble.
