I've been trying to find reviews of the new Vostro 1520 on the web and have been having varying degrees of luck. I have noticed however that a few people have complained that the left palm rest of the Vostro 1520 is too hot. One person measured it to be 103 deg F. Some have returned theirs for this reason.

Do any of you have a Vostro 1520 and if so, do you find the left palm rest extremely hot and uncomfortable?

I'm holding fire getting a 1520 as well due to the possible issue with the hot palm rest, I hope some more reviews pop up soon.

Doesnt suprise me.. even Latitudes have this problem. Basically the HD is beneath the left palm rest and it feels much hotter.

It depends on what kind of HDD you have. My 500GB Seagate 5400.6 drive is pretty cool. Temperatures average at about 100F. Naturally, a 7K drive would be warmer.
