    g'day,
    just bought me self a cheap chrissy present, a dell latitude d620, gots a intel centrino duo 1.8ghz, 1gb, 40gb(i know, shabby, but doesnt matter, as im buying a 256gb ssd:) ) combo drive( again, pretty shabby, but these are cheap:) ) its got a shot 6 cell battery, ( again, cheap!) picked it up for 400aud. i thought it was pretty good. gunna be using dreamweaver, and visual studio, and office, and everything:)
    give me your opinion, good choice or not?

    KEEP IN MIND - I AM ONLY 15!!!!

    its a nice machine, solid one too. but 400 is a bit steep IMO for a D620, the D630's can be had for around that now.

    I use a D620 at work. For the age, it's a pretty good machine. Between all the Latitudes I've owned and used in the past, I think the Dx20/Dx30 are the most solidly built. I do agree that 400AUD is a little steep; I picked up my own D620 for testing maybe a year and a half ago, and it cost me something like 300USD. Prices have risen a little due to the economic whatnot, but yeah...

    yeah they seem solid, the teachers at my school have them, and they can handle anything! even when the teachers have a fit at the students and take their anger out on the computer!
