    Latitude E6400, Intel T9600, Quadro NVS 160M, Win 7 Pro 32bit, ~5 months old.

Since yesterday, I've been having problems with my laptop keyboard. It would work fine on booting up, but soon the keyboard would start giving problems. For example, on pressing 't', the tab preview would show up, there would be random forward slashes before characters. (like '\n')
Did a system restore to a week earlier, no change.

Today, it got worse. In Word 2007, I could not place a space, b and n were also not recognized. I briefly attached an external USB keyboard and it seemed to be typing fine. Before I turned it off I realized that the left button on the trackpad was also not registering.

I've e-mailed support. Just want to know from you guys what the problem could be. Because I'm pretty ticked off.

Something is amiss with the keyboard.

I would try removing and replacing it (instructions here) in case there is a connection problem.

Use the phone, it's quicker, and you get better service.
In general, chat or e-mail for any company provides abysmal, at best, service, as it either goes to another company that treat those, or you get people with no customer service/tech support experience, and answering these e-mail for months, gets annoying, and they tend to not care about you (also they are rated per answered e-mail.. so they go fast)

Calling and being very nice and polite, will make the person on the other side of the phone do his or her best to help you, especially after a long day of getting people screaming at them non-stop.
