I have a Dell Latitude D610 with a fresh Win7 install. In system devices I have a "Video Controller" that won't find drivers through Windows. Under "Display Adapters" I do have Standard VGA Graphics Adapter which allows max resolution so I can comfortably view and use the machine. I just hate having that "Video Controller" not found. Any idea where to get a driver for it?

    Thanks! :)

Have you tried searching the internet for in device manager?

You could also trying right clicking and going to hardware ID's and going to PCI Database and punching in Ven and Dev IDs.

The only GPU I see for the D610 is ATI Mobility x300, x600, FireGL V3100 or Intel graphics.

Windows Update was able to pull the driver for the ATI X300 from the internet on two D610's that I upgraded to Windows 7. You could try installing the Intel GMA driver manually and see if it takes the driver (if it doesn't, then you have ATI).

Will try this next time I see the machine. Looks interesting and I hope it works. When I ran dxdiag I just gave me the standard intel for a video chip and I found those drivers and like I said, they worked and show up in system devices. It's just weird to have an unknown video controller sittin there too.

It wouldn't pull them form the internet for me.
