I have a Dell Lattitude C800 that I am trying to revitalize. I am looking to get an adapter and a battery for it. Where would be the best place to get these other than the dell website?

If I did buy these items on the Dell website I only see that the Lattitude C840 has a battery and an adapter. The Lattitude C810 only has the adapter. I'm fairly certain the adapters would work on The Lattitude C800, but would the battery work as well?

Check out eBay. I am unsure about your last question, but you can contact Dell about it.

Dell used the PA-6 and PA-9 adapters for your laptop and several others (the Latitude C840, which I had one of for a time, used the PA-9).

The PA-6 is 60 watts, the PA-9 is 90 watts. The PA-9 will charge a battery faster, and if you have dedicated graphics, you're better off using it than a PA-6.

I think the battery on the C800 and C840 are cross-compatible, but don't quote me on it. While their chassis were similar, the C800/810 were Pentium-3 based, and the 840 was Pentium-4.
