Love WUXGA, DIY E6500/M4400 mix and questions about HDD/SSD

    Awesome, and nicely simple mod.

    The m4400 was my first high end laptop and its lid is still pretty much the coolest one i've ever seen.

    The m4400 and e6500 are almost exactly the same. The e6500 will even support quad core processors.

    Yes, I love their looking too. Very cool business style, doesn't look like a toy.

    Are you sure e6500's motherboad can support quad core. I have a nvidia motherboad, my friend has intel. He told me he tried to install a x9100, but the laptop could not be power on at all. I really hope it works.

    John, I read your posts about intel motherboard is much cooler than nvidia one. I just replaced the laptop to intel motherboard. You are right, it's so cool, I would say 50% of time, the fan is not running. The nvidia motherboard's fan almost runs 98% of time.

    Less heat, less noise from fan, thank you!!!
