Hi all, I have an E6410 with the Dell 5540 WWAN option, unfortunately it's limited to 7.2 mbps (3.5 with real networks), so I'm thinking: does anyone know if Dell offers an LTE card with any similar models?

If not: has anyone bought or found LTE mini PCI-e modems for sale that might work?

I'm also interested if anyone knows the technical details of how the SIM card reader works with the modem, it looks like it's another device entirely (on the motherboard?), is it likely a third party card would also work with this reader?

The antennas should hopefully be the same, roughly 2.2 GHz and 800-950 MHz...

Looks like the Dell Wireless 5800 is offered on E6x20 models, has anyone tried it in a 4G laptop?
