    Hi !
I am planning to order an M4600 for photography (PS, LR...).
I'd like to have an SSD drive for system and softwares + normal HDD for files.

As I am not a specialist, what should I choose :
    - SSD mini drive 128Go for system + 750Go HDD for data (+ BR writer) ?
    - or add the SSD later, but will it be compatible ?

    Thanks for your advice.
    :)

the most highly recommended mSATA ssd is the intel soda creek 310 80gb, not sure about 128gb.....it is definitely compatible

750gb hdd the best one at the moment is the western digital scorpio black 750gb

The Intel 310 128gb doesn't exist, and isn't on their roadmap. They are also impossible to find from a reputable dealer.

Toshiba and Samsung mini PCI-E SSDs exist up to 256 GB but are only sold to OEMs.

But as stated, I would go for the 80 GB Soda Creek SSDs when they ever get back in stock (latest ThinkPads and Dell business lines that support mSATA drives have made them out of stock everywhere)

Wanted to clear this question up the MyDigitalSSD mSATA drives are 100% compatible with your computer and offer a massive increase in performance vs. the hard drive and is faster than the Intel mSATA product in many if not all benchmarks.

I am not sure but if it has a mSATA or as Dell calls them Mini Card SSD port on it then it will be compatible. Please let me know what you find out if it is compatible I will add it to the compatibility list.
