Now here is my problem, i have been having light leak for so long with my screen that i dont think it worth the money i spend any more.
anyway my question is if i ask dell to get the regular screen and LVSD cable, will it plug right in ?
also will doing so enable optimus ? or i will need a different motherboard ?

    1. You also will need a different back panel cover. The IPS has different wiring and cover thickness to accommodate the IPS.

    2. Optimus will work with the same motherboard, provided you have a nVidia Optimus card and the replacement TN panel is well... Not IPS.

There is no way to be sure that the IPS and Non IPS M4600s have the same motherboard. No one has posted any info on it.

The motherboards are different for the M4600 with IPS RGB and without IPS RGB panel.
