After successfully overclocking our desktop, I decided to see what could be done with the wife's M6400 with the QX9300. To set a baseline on temperatures, I ran OCCT at the stock settings. To my amazement, the temperatures climbed immediately into the 80's and the test shut down. The heaviest load normally put on this machine is Photoshop CS5 and some video conversion.

I tried to find a program that would show fan speed, but neither SpeedFan or I8kfanGUI would run on the Windows 7 64 bit machine.

Has anyone else stress tested their M6400 like this and found a similar problem? Solutions?
