After an hour or so online, all browsers stop working, firefox says connection timeout, although download if started before, still goes on, as well as skype and other software. Nothing helps, even logging off, only after restarting the computer the browsers start working again for an hour or even less and again stop responding until I restart the computer.
I scanned everything with Norton Internet Security (was always on), Avast and Malwarebytes, reinstalled my 64 bit Win 7 many times, tried without antivirus, then without windows fireware, tried with bare OS without any software, tried resetting ip and winsock, but the problem persists both with wifi and LAN. Please help.

Have you installed all the latest drivers/service packs?

    Maybe try reimaging your laptop.

    You could also try:

    Resetting the Winsock
    Flushing the DNS
    Reset TCP/IP
