Currently, I connect a Matrox Dualhead2Go DisplayPort Edition to the M6500 DisplayPort, the Matrox is connected to 2 x NEC 2080UX 1600x1200 Displays. The Matrox "tells" the M6500 that there is a 3200x1200 Display connected to the DisplayPort.

I use the M6500s Display along with it, so I have "two" screens, the internal 1920x1200, and the Matrox 3200x1200 @ DisplayPort (driving two 1600x1200 screens)

Now I am interested in a Dell U3011 2560x1600 screen and would like to use it ALONG the current solution.
Does anyone already have the internal and two external 2560x1200 screens connected to a M6500 Fx3800?

I need the Dell Port Replicator which offers another DisplayPort, right?

Is the M6500 nVidia Fx3800 able to drive the internal, the U3011 2560x1200 on one DisplayPort and the Matrox 3200x1200 at the second DisplayPort?

You can only run 2 "monitors" at a time with the FX3800M. More specifically you can only output video to two ports.

So, for clarification, if running 2 external monitors off of the FX3800M the laptop's own display is disabled?

Correct. At least that is my experience.

Correct, 2 max. The 2 can be 30" displays at full resolution or an external and one internal. The AMD card on the M6500 can support more, 3 total.
