Hi I'm planing to buy a M6500 with 4GB in 2 DIMMS and buy 2 more DIMMS somewhere else. And I have a few questions.

What RAM I should pick from DELL, 1066mhz or 1333mhz?
Also what type of memory should I be looking on Ebay the 204pin or 200pin?
And the last one, which brands of memory are good?

    Thank you.

Before you decide, be aware two of the four ram modules are located under the keyboard, so if you are not willing to remove your keyboard, you may want to get all the ram from dell.

Some users don't notice the difference in ram speed or, claim various application can't use the extra speed, personally, I would rather have the fastest ram available, so IMO 1333mhz or 1600mhz (depending on your CPU, 1600 only for the i7-920XM)

    You will need 204-Pin DDR3.

This sounds like the ram needs to be installed in pairs.

Yes, you need to fill first the A B slots then you can add more DIMMS on the C or D slot.

    Thank you.

Hey can you mix 1066 DIMMS with 1333 or 1600?

You can mix whatever you want. The memory will run at the slowest common speed. Even if you have memory at 1600MHz, it will perform no differently in any real life situation compared to 1066MHz memory, so it really doesn't matter.
