When I install 4GB DDR3-1333 modules in the memory slots under the keyboard of my M6600 it will no longer post. It turns on briefly after pressing the power button and then immediatly turns back off.

All 6 of the modules I've tested work fine in the slots on the bottom of the computer. The 2GB DDR3-1600 modules the system shipped with work fine in the slots under the keyboard by themselves or along with two of the 4GB modules installed in the slots on on the bottom of the computer.

The Dell website lets me configure a system with 4x4GB DDR3-1333 modules... What am I missing here?

What CPU do you have? 4 DIMM are only supported with Quad Core CPU's.

    I have the i7-2720QM

I can use the combo of 2x4GB DDR-1333 in the bottom slots and 2x2GB DDR3-1600 under the keyboard... But I want my other 4GB...

That's strange. I've just bought an M6600 with the intention of doing the same thing you have. What memory did you buy? (I bought what was on Crucial, 4x4GB). Did you ever get it fixed?

I bought a set of 4GB DDR3-1600 modules to see if that was the problem. Those didn't work either...

I then did what I should have done in the first place, I tried putting the modules in another of our M6600's... All the modules worked fine in that system... Dell will be out tomorrow to replace the motherboard in my system.

Dell replaced the board and I have my 16GB of RAM as expected...

I'm suprised they made it out today, I called in last night at 5:15PM... Less than 18 hours from my call to a technicain onsite with replacement parts.
