I have a seagate 500 gig hd in my m6300 and I am curious if I can add it to a m6600 as a second drive for storage. This way I won't have to move all my files, music, videos, etc. to a new drive. Just install this one and access my info.

I won't be running any programs from the old drive. I just want to use it for storage.

Yes, the M6600 comes with two 9.5" SATA HDD Slots. One is near the battery (which you have to take the back cover off to get to) and the other is that slot next to the Wi-Fi switch (which you have to take out the battery to find the latch switch to release it).

Did you mean 2.5" HDD slots? I believe that is the size of my hd.

Also, I shouldn't have to reformat the drive or anything like that.

2.5" yeah but the drive should be 9.5mm thick though (sorry for the confusion! :p)

No reformatting on the data drive is necessary, just make sure you set the boot order from the BIOS to boot from your OS drive first.
