Went to the Dell site to get updated drivers and just noticed that the Premier Color Application is finally out!

    Checking it out now.

I have been using PremierColour a few days now and am not sure if it is related but occoasionally the computer shuts down by itself and optimus turns off.

Again, I am not sure if it is related or not but diagnostics say there is nothing wrong with the laptop, and my probs seems to have occurred after I downloaded the PremierColour.

    Ironically, it normally works fine.

Installed PremierColor. Recalibrated my external monitors. The color gamut of the U2410 is measuring as slightly more broad now. Interesting...

You can adjust the brightness of the monitor through the software. It is just like going into the menus on the monitor itself and making adjustments. Brightness presets work great on the 2407WFP, but not on the U2410.

I usually run ColorSpyder profiles for 120, 140, and 180 nits. In the past I would have to go into the menus to change the brightness settings, now it is all in the PremierColor software. Very nice. Just wish it would save those U2410 settings.

Funny, I installed the PremierColor application and I found out on the nvidia page that a new driver is available (285.62)....

When you first load the PremierColor software and go to tune the sRGB panel, you will see the colors go oversaturated.

To get back to the neutral colors, set the contrast at 50 and set all three RGB sliders to 0. Then save the profile.

Also, make sure you are running the newest Bios and NV drivers. I would also keep checking for updated versions of the PremierColor software since they will likely be ironing out some little glitches.

My experience with this application (on M4600) is that it distorts window management. Some windows become "always on top" and I don't know how to disable this "feature".

Must admit that I have had that problem too (M6600). It seems to come and go so I am hoping will be fixed in an update of one form or other.

Ok so idiot question perhaps but what does the PremierColor application do? It lets you switch between color profiles? (I don't see how that would affect window management).

Unfortunately it does something more - frankly I would prefer to apply profiles by colorcpl tool. It (I mean PremierColor, not colorcpl) allows to do some window management as well.
