    Hi,

I want to buy an external screen for my oldish E6400 laptop with the NVdia NVS 160m chip. What is the highest external (digital) resolution this thing can drive? Can I use this simultaneously with the laptop's screen?

    Thanks!

It's not that old. I'm sure it would support two screens of 1920x1200 at least.

Double 2560x1600 through the docking station.

Nvidia chart is wrong, at least for the NVS 140M (which I have dual 1920x1200's running digitally -- it claims 1600x1200 is max). And likely for the 160M as well.
