I wanted a vostro 3450 but inability to upgrade to SSD without voiding the warranty means its a no go so im looking at the 3350.

Dell let me specify 6gb RAM for the 3350. Is this just their site, or is there a legit reason why it specifies a max of 6gb of ram?

The chipset should allow for 8 GB, though for some reason Dell lists 6 GB as the max..

dell will also only allow a backlight keyboard on the most expensive 3350 configuration. at its cheapest i can only get it down to about 930 euros.

I want a backlight keyboard, 2gb ram and small HD as im buying 8gb ram and an SSD from crucial, if dell sales can give me the above configuration.

You could try ordering a backlit keyboard later on unless it is of high importance..
