I am confused, my microphone is not working on my DELL Latitude E5500. Anyone have any set procedures to go through?
    Thanks.

    Not really.

Check your Sound control panel, go to the Recording tab and check the Microphone Array. If you blow on it, you should see the green VDU on the right bounce up and down. If it doesn't, it's probably muted or broken (check inside the Properties).

Some applications need the mic to be used as default, so you can press "Set Default" to make it the default mic.

You should also check that you have the latest drivers for the mic installed. It's possible that something may have corrupted them.
