    Greetings,

I recently purchased a Dell Latitude Z600. It has two internal SSD's but only allows you to select IRRT, which is effectively RAID 1. I would like to update the option ROM to enable the option to use RAID 0.

The laptop uses the ich9m-e chipset, which supports RAID 0/1/5.

Is it possible to modify the bios to allow this functionality? Alternatively, can the HDR package be modified to include a different Intel Option ROM? I saw a post where a guy did this for a Vostro: LINK

Here is a link to the bios itself: Z600_A02.EXE

    Thanks in advance.

By-the-by, I called Dell. After some discussion, I convinced them that the functionality is there, just disabled. They won't be releasing an update to address this.

This is more than a little frustrating on a $3k laptop. If I can't get around this, I forsee a Thinkpad 400s in my future.
