Since the m6600 has a msata port, I was looking at getting a msata ssd (I know its limited to sata II).

So I went to newegg and found several:

Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Hard Drives, SSD, msata

Which ones are compatible with the m6600, and/or which ones are recommended that are are/are not listed on that page?

that OCZ 120gb one I saw from Amazon revview that it doesnt quite reach 280/270. but that reviewer could have had a full ssd.

Isnt anything below 128gb really too small for os + software you need?

128 GB should be plenty since I like to keep my data either offsite or on a network share (roughly 8TB).

I have heard issues with OCZ in their customer service as well as product itself. Are these cases true, or just one in a few thousand?

How significant is the performance difference between having your OS + Apps on a mSSD (SATA2) vs a SSD in the main HD bay?

    Anything to worry about?

No big difference. IOPS on both is fast enough.
You may try renice 120gb one. OCZ has a bad reputation nowadays.
