So here's the story, I've been buying dell latitude D610's from eBay, repairing them and then selling them on cheap to friends and family for about a year now with no real problems, untill now!....... It's definatly a D610 (casing says it is and so does the bios), I've tried the service tag on the dell website and it has wireless drivers to download for that specific service tag but when I flip the laptop over and open it up theres a modem and the CMOS battery where the wireless card/chip should be, so I really don't understand!!! Is there an adapter or something that I can buy that will enable me to put the wireless chip in? as I really don't like wireless dongles as I don't think there as good as built in wireless cards because my sister has one and it's alway loosing conectivity. Thankyou in advance!

I believe the WLAN full-size Mnicard is under the Keyboard. so, you need to remove Hinge-cover and remove 3 screws (I believe) to remove the keyboard. You will see Minicard slot on upper left side of the system.
