MY DELLLatitude D520's internal microphone and speakers stopped working!

    one fine day, the microphone stopped working and within months, the speakers died too.

    what couldve happened and what can I do?

    Possibly something corrupt with the OS? Have you tried updating your audio driver(s)? System Restore and/or a clean install? Failing those, it may be a hardware issue and you may have to contact Dell (though for a D520, you're probably close to the end or out or out of warranty by now)...

    but external microphones and earphones work.

    lol since ibought that laptop, it has been 4 yrs and even moved to a difference coutnry, lol
