    Hello,

I recently bought the new Dell Vostro 3400... so far I'm really enjoying it!

However, I recently noticed something that I was hoping somebody with the new 3400 (or 3000 series for that matter) could confirm or deny for me.

I noticed there is a noticeable screen "vibration" on the left side (when looking at the screen) for pages with a background of a certain degree of gray. By screen vibrations, I mean the screen has a fluttering effect, almost like the left side of the screen is refreshing at a slower rate.

For white colors, light greys, and blacks you can't tell the difference between the left and right sides. However, it becomes noticeable with a dark gray background.

The most noticeable and best test scenario I have found was the gray color background behind the Remote Desktop login screen. We use server 2003 and their background is a dark gray, and in this setting the "vibration" become quite noticeable and annoying.

I was hoping somebody with the new 3400 with Remote Desktop capabilities (or access to backgrounds with a darker shade of gray) could try and verify this issue for me. Because its quite subtle and on most pages unnoticeable, I'm not sure if it is an actual problem worth contacting dell about.

    Thanks!

I have a light leaking problem with my new Vostro 3400. It has a LG screen (LED) which is supposed to have better control over light leakage.   I`m considering a replacement. :(
