I need to get a new laptop for work ànd have been given the choice of a M4600 my budget is €1900. Within that price I need to include for the hardware and accidental damage plans which I have. Looking at the spec below (coming to 1955) is there anything you would change or tweak to be able to spend more money on something else. Should I go for the faster and cheaper dual core processor over the quad?

Is there something I'm missing which is really important or something causing a bottleneck that would justify maybe another €100. The only I can think of is the HDD but I'm ok with the single 7200. SSDs are expensive and I think the money is better spent on other items first.

Get the cheapest memory and upgrade yourself. If you can do that with the HDD too, that'll save you some money, but it's a hassle having to move the OS, etc from one drive to another.

I would upgrade the Quadro or downgrade to the ATI card unless optimus/battery life is a priority and there's no budget for the upgrade.

Be sure to call in to order rather than buy directly off the website, so you can get everything discounted.
