    Just got mine!

First thing I notice is how sleek it is!! like Wow! Really cool.

Second thing, I never thought I was a hard typist but it seems like the screen shakes and wobbles more then it should.

I will report back after using it some more.

I was thinking about replacing the original harddrive with a SSD, my mind is kinda set on the M4, any other suggestions?

It's a good option now. The sandforce-based ssds seem questionable,
    Especially Vertex3's.

If anything other than M4, I might wait for the Samsung 830's.
From what I've read, they're liking to be the sleeping giant.

    Alright.

The 830 seems too bee a great SSD, the question is can i keep myself from buying one now :p
Is it correct that only 7 mm SSD´s fit in the V131?

otherwise i was also thinking about a Intel 320 40GB, basicly to save programs on there and my files on my external HHD.

Does anyone have tips on removing the V131's base cover? (to replace memory or harddisk)

It is explained on page 19 of this guide: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/vosV131/en/om/om_en.pdf

I can move the left side of the cover 1mm and I can move the right side not at all.

I was able to remove it after all.

    1. Loosen the screw
    2. Pull the cover up at the side of the screw. This will take a lot of force.
    3. Slide the cover towards the battery

No, 9.5mm drives fit fine. I've put an M4 and a Kingston SSD into two different V131's. The hard drives that came out of them were standard 2.5" notebook drives.

v131 with i5 or 3350 with i5 for portable use and university?
v131 is slim, but i heard there is heat problems? Basecly they are same, but v131 is more slim, but 3350 has better screen
    P.S.
    vertex 3 ssd planned

    Dual drives FTW!!
That happens every single time I open the V130's...

...when I forget to remove (as per instructions) the SD card first ;)
