    Hi Folks,

About 2-3 times a week I will have a BSOD in 'MEMORY_MANAGEMENT'. I'm running 16GB via four of these (Kingston HyperX DDR3 1866). My memory bus is running as follows:

Is this likely a hardware issue? Should (can?) i try running at 1600MHz? Are there any truly brutal memory tests I can run (windows one came up clean).

I do suspend/resume a lot, and the last one happened about 5 minutes after a resume. I'm running a fresh install of Windows 7 on a Crucial SSD.

Mx600 officially supports up to 1600Mhz only. There is no way to adjust the memory speed in bios.

You may try an error to install 2 RAMs at one time and see if that happens again. Could be one of the RAMs is faulty. However if the root cause is Mx600 not supporting 1866mhz RAM, you are done.

Run a couple passes of memtest and see if you have any faulty modules.

Can you update us on this? It sounds like they may be the way to go and people are seeing nice performance gains from them but some peoples comments on newegg also talk about BSODs with them.

I'm really curious..if they work well I might just go buy them.

    Thanks!

I'm going to try to run more extensive memory tests first to see if i can catch an error. If not I will try to run a week with just two memory modules.

Something is definitely going on though...today the system just froze then powered off.

Hey, I had the same problem with my m4600. I installed 4x4GB of the Kingston Hyper X sticks, same one as yours except 1600mhz. I was getting crashes and slow downs when I had too many programs open, and a few MEMORY_MANAGEMENT blue screens.

I ran MemTest and immediately got hundreds of errors (over 100k when I left it on for 7 hours). I then isolated the memory sticks to test, 3 of them were perfectly fine and one was reading back a lot of errors. My return period on the RAM is over but I contacted Kingston and they are sending me replacement sticks.

I've been running on 12GB the last week and haven't had one crash or blue screen yet.

Edit: Here's my log from the blue screen http://forum.notebookreview.com/7781933-post795.html

Glad you solved your issue. This is why i suggest jcims to test 2 RAMs at one time to find out the faulty RAM.

The 16Gb 1600 HyperX i used gave me only 1 BSOD right after installation, upon reset the system works properly for 2 months until now. Could be the RAMs need some warming up for the start :D
