Do these guys carry extra set of screws that fit the laptop? Because IDK for some reason the screws on my latitude does not look... "new", well it has some scratch markings etc on it. Kind of disturbing to look at when I got it. It doesn't look opened, and all the specs still match the original configuration and the system was only purchased at end of september so... hm... just kind of annoying to look at.

Anyway though the reason I called in was I found out that one of the 2 screw mounts that holds the keyboard, the threads are stripped... i called dell, apparently the rep ordered a new motherboard, bottom plastic assembly, and keyboard... I don't think the motherboard and keyboard is even necessary... but whatever. Hopefully it will replace the part that I need replacing lol... (can anyone pitch in?)

hopefully the guy will replace the keyboard with the backlit one i bought separately.

    Thanks a lot.

No idea, but if you have a sub-assembly coming, why not request some screws, too? If they send them, you can install them later.

Well I think they're giving it to the tech then he's coming then replacing the entire thing. I will request some screws though good idea!

*also found out what I need, it's basically the entire bottom base. IDK if it's same thing as the "bottom plastic assembly" The other parts are completely unnecessary.

When the guy shows up find out, if he does not tell him to call up and request it. Do not forget they get paid by Dell... more work means another weeks paycheck.
