    Hi Folks,
I just downloaded the actual Bios Updater A05 from the Dell Homepage.
When I start the .exe it opens a window to enter a password.

(Just to prevent questions: it is not the bios passwort or the system or windows password, I guess the installer is for what reason ever password protected?!?)

Is anyone here with more information about it?

    Thanks!!! :)

Never seen that. Is your notebook BIOS password protected?

The BIOS updater is asking for a password in Windows because the BIOS is secured with an admin password.

    You must either:

    > Supply the BIOS admin password at the Windows prompt or

    > Change the BIOS settings to remove the admin password before launching Windows and running the updater in Windows.
