The keyboard in my e4300 can gone kaput! I can't work on it and need a new one ASAP. Is there anywhere in NYC that I could get hold of one right away??

Have you called Dell and asked them to send one parts-only to you? Even if you have mail-in service, they might send you one as it is cheaper then sending the laptop back and forth. The keyboard is a CRU.

For the time being, try reseating the keyboard. If that doesn't work, use a USB keyboard. ;)

Unless you have been tipping drink into the keyboard, it should be a warranty matter. If you buy the keyboard yourself then consider upgrading to the backlit keyboard (unless you have it already). There's usually some on ebay if you can't find a bricks-and-mortar store.

I am 99.8% sure no stores will sell it. Have you looked into the options we suggested?
