    Could someone point me in the right direction in the bios of my Dell latitude d630 to turn on port multipliers so my system can recognise multiple hard drives in a raid array

    I'm not sure I understand what you want to do. Do you somehow want to RAID two drives internally or connect your D630 to something like a set of drives RAIDed in a NAS?
