I am having a problem with an E6510 and an E-Dock (simple). The problem is for some reason the USB ports on the dock either loose power for no apparent reason (have switched out the dock) and I cannot figure out what is the problem. All the other computers work fine (we have about a dozen E6410's but only one E6510).

My most recent trouble shooting before reformatting the computer is in the advanced power options I turned off the SUB selective suspend settings when plugged in.

Is there anything else I should try before reformatting?

Is your BIOS the latest version? If not, install it.

Chances are that re-installing Windows should fix it. Odd problems like these aren't easy to fix.
