need something inexpensive that will allow me to project basic powerpoint presentations and excel spreadsheets on a wall.
Dont need anything fancy/high res, just something affordable.

    I have an E6400. Thanks.

Anything that works on VGA, or HDMI/DVI/Displayport will work, providing you have an appropriate adapter cable. The E6400 can output 2560x1600 resolution, but most projectors these days are limited to 1920x1080 or similar.

    Product Dimensions: 9.2 x 11.2 x 3.2 inches ; 5.7 pounds

That is a footprint just a little larger than a sheet of copy paper. The really tiny "Pico" projectors are great for size, but they are not quite bright enough. And if you try to get a projector with everything, the price goes up quite a bit.

In your original post, I got the impression that price and affordability with solid basic presentation functions were what you were looking for. I researched this issue from this same perspective a few months ago and came up with this projector.

$329 is a good price for a portable projector that really works. All things considered, if you find something better, please post back with a link to what you find.
