I'm hoping to buy one of these units... I'm on summer break from school atm and can live with my old laptop until then... Will the price of the Dell 6400 drop by much if I wait to buy it around September?

I couldn't imagine being too much cheaper than what you can get at the outlet with the coupon. I got mine for $540, check the specs in my sign.

Yeah, i don't see the prices dropping a considerable amount, in either the configure-to-order or the outlet.

If you call for a new laptop, you can negotiate a price and free upgrade.
In my case it was a 1800$ laptop (Latitude E6400), with free updates making it 2024$ Canadian back in November. And I paid ~1630$ Canadian, just by easy negotiating with the sales rep, I think I could have done more if I asked for the supervisor but anyway.
