Apparently ALL Dell Latitude D630's with the NVIDIA version are DEFECTIVE! No one seems to know if Dell rectified the issue with the NVIDA chips that had defective die packaging. It's a sure bet that if your manufacture date was from 2007 up through at least the first quarter of 2008, your unit is defective and Dell's BIOS workaround to increase the fan speed will at best only delay the burnout of your motherboard. A Dell CSR was not sure as to whether the issue was corrected on new and refurbished boards that technicians are busy in the field replacing. The basic modis operandi is keep the machines running until the warranty has expired according to former Dell employee. I have yet to see a D630 motherboard exceed a year of service! Does anyone know anything factual with regard to Dell/NVIDIA fixing this problem?

There is no way to fix the problem short of replacing the systems with Intel graphics or upgrading to the E-series. The cooler the system operates, the longer the motherboard will last.
