You can't use the Q9000. It has a 1066MHz FSB. The fastest processor you can get is probably the T9500, though the X9000 may work too. The X9000 probably won't be any cooler than your T7250, though (if it even works).

T9500 it is, then. I bet that the X9000 is more powerful and will work, but not without extreme heat and it isnt intended to save power. Plus it's more expensive. I'm curious how much this will improve gaming upon my current CPU (T7100 1.8GHz), I'm guessing alot. I'm sure the GPU's holding it back as well, but I've always been more interested in performance instead of pretty in my games so I turn the graphics down. I'll probably at least be able to play at higher resolutions than I usually do.

Edit: But I'm going to have to get a different T9500 than the one listed in the link that I provided, correct? I think that I see that the Newegg T9500 works with 1066MHz FSB's whereas I only have an 800MHZ FSB.

There is no 1066MHz FSB T9500; the T9300 and T9500 are both 800MHz FSB chips... your link just shows the P9500, Q9K, T9400, P8600, and P8400?

EDIT: Newegg doesn't have the T9500, but this is what you're looking for...
