UPDATE 11-7-2011: NBR user 'Avlan' has just today successfully modified the C2D Latitude E4300 DSDT to extend the root bridge into 36-bit space, then did a DSDT registry override and now has a E4300+GTS450 working with 4GB here!!

I have a Latitude E6410, first generation Core i system. Has there been any work on a modified BIOS for anything other than the 4300?

I plan on doing an egpu with my vostro 3450 and it has a dedicated 6630m. From what I have read, the tolud issue is already resolved on the vostro and you can switch off the 6630m in the bios. Any updated issues? Thanks!

There's a couple of 3450 examples in http://forum.notebookreview.com/gaming-software-graphics-cards/418851-diy-egpu-experiences.html . User 'celli' has a HD6630M model. His description is a little vague as to how he got the iGPU+dGPU+eGPU all work together. I am not sure if there is a bios option to disable the HD6630M. Seems he may have used the Setup 1.x software to do it.

The DSDT override as the universal workaround if encounter the TOLUD issue. That was posted after this thread was made. Still, when a system has a dGPU we can hijaak it's resources and disable it instead using the Setup 1.x software. So there is now more than one solution to this problem.

In http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...851-diy-egpu-experiences-987.html#post8467094 , celli compared Crysis 1 on his HD6630M vs GTX560Ti where the latter gets 3 times faster FPS.

    Hi nando,

I'm new to the forums (though I've been reading the diy egpu experiences thread for a long time) But I was wondering if you know of any latitude 13's that have a working egpu setup? I'm looking to buy a pe4L (already have an ati card & psu) soon. My Lat 13 is a c2d ulv (i think ichm7?) It only has 3.5gigs (32bit system) of ram.. so I think I won't need the DSDT override right?
