I have a Vostro 1700 with Vista that I have been using the system restore disk to wipe and reload.

It kept hanging at installation, so like some others have suggested I changed the ACHI to ATA. This allowed windows to install, but can't get the network adapter to work. I have installed from the driver disk several times, but it is still not working.
