    Good find, now the question is, are the 6600 msata slots limited to sata 2 speeds?

    Yes they are.

    In the M4600, the mSATA has SATA III speeds though.

    Yes :( But the added space could be worth the investment. What speed do SATA 3 devices run on SATA 2 controllers?

    the vendor should specify what speed under sata 2. if they dont, they are just playing marketing. though i would assume that there wont be much difference, but the write speed can be faster than the current offered 128gb one.

    I contacted Samsung directly and their answer was that this model of mSATA drives will be only available in bulk purchase for OEM who want to install them in laptops and tablets. So no end-user version will be available :-(

    But since the technology reached this milestone, I hope Renice and others catch up quickly and start selling their own soon!
