So i just go a DisplayPort to HDMI cable with the intention of doing DisplayPort++ video AND audio over HDMI to my nice new HDTV. Video works great. But I am having a hard time figuring out audio.

I have narrowed it down to a problem with AC3Filter using the SPDIF device (I believe the SPDIF device IS the DisplayPort?). The error in AC3Filter under the SPDIF status is: Disabled (SPDIF output is not supported).

Wondering if anyone might know how to gain control of the SPDIF device to output video PCM audio to my TV.

    Thanks!

    E6500 with Nvidia Quaddro NVS160
    Windows 7 64bit
