    Hi,

I had to re-install windows XP Home on my Dell Vostro 1400 and after the install (and the drivers & updates) I don't have a Stand By option on the power down menu. It is grayed out! Is there an update I am missing. I did check the bios setting, nothing there. I did set the power management to Laptop in the XP settings, but the Stand By option is still not available. I also did a search on the forum, however did not find anything about this.

Any help would be great, it's a pain having to power down all the time.

    Don

You should just need to re-install the video driver...
