    Just tried it. 8minutes at gas mark 6.25, and my degraded performance and deteriorated fps is fixed. The card is back to new.

    You know that the GPU die is not designed for such heat condition (300C and up). I vote that you fixed a miss soldering point but broken something on the GPU, which can result of an effect or set of effects not properly working or not showing, down to increase error correction that needs to be performed by the GPU.

    It's been stress testing for the last 18 hours, and no faults so far.

    But YMMV.

    Doesn't mean it passes stress test that it's the GPU is working at 100%. You need a special software to test every single features of the GPU and compare them with Nvidia own results from there test. In other words, you need to go at Nvidia and hope they allow you to use there test system, and X-ray machine to see the GPU internals to see if it's broken or not.

    But a working GPU is better than a non working one, I supposed, especially if the warranty is out.
