I just reinstalled Windows XP and I'm not sure where to find the driver for my internal WiFi card. When I open up Device Manager, actually, I don't see any WiFi hardware (but I've been using WiFi on this laptop for a couple of years).

My original Vostro packaging receipt tells me I have a Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g internal card. But I can't find a driver for this on Dell's drivers and downloads site...perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place.

When I load my drivers reinstallation CD, I do not see anything that matches that description...here is what shows up on the CD:

    Communication Drivers:
    Conexant D330HDA MDC v92modem A00 [there's a check beside this]
Dell Wireless 5520 Cingular Mobile Broadband (3G HSDPA) MiniCard Rev. A03
Dell Wireless 5520 Vodafone Mobile Broadband (3G HSDPA) MiniCard Rev. A04
Dell Wireless 5720 Sprint Mobile Broadband (EVDO Rev-A) MiniCard Rev. A04
Dell Wireless 5720 TELUS Mobile Broadband (EVDO Rev-A) MiniCard Rev. A02
Dell Wireless 5720 VZW Mobile Broadband (EVDO Rev-A) MiniCard Rev A03

    Network Drivers:
Broadcom 59XX 10/100 Ethernet Controller RevA01 [also a check here]
Dell Wireless (Except US, Japan) WLAN Card Rev A14
Dell Wireless (Japan) WLAN Card Rev. A14
Dell Wireless (US) WLAN Card Rev. A14
Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Module (Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR) Rev: A00
Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN Rev. A12

Any advice as to what I need to do? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Due to virus I have formatted my dell vostro 1400 and re-installed windows xp on it. Now I am having troubles to use wireless n/w.

Under device manager I dont see any adapter related to wireless n/w adapter.

In network adapters I could see
    1394 Net Adapter
    Broadcom Netlink(TM) Faster Ethernet

My order details says that I have Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Internal Card for Vostro. But I could not drivers for it in the drivers CD given.

As you said I could right marks for

You were saying you got the solution or link. Please help me also to resolve my issue. Waiting for some one to help me..............................
