Turn my non-ATG D620, into an ATG D620?

Yeah, true. I actually really like the D series Latitudes, they are very tough and durable. That's why I bought one, my D620 has been thrown across the living room god knows how many times, and still survives. The reason I would want to add the extra toughness is because the conditions, say, out in the cattle yards, can vary depending on where you go.

But I don't know, I might just keep my Latitude as-is and see how she holds out.

Me too, they're great, I've had a D610, D410, M70, D620, and D630. But, unfortunately, the need for more speed and power drove me to get an E6400. :(

Yeah... see how it handles before spending any amount of a new laptop...though a well padded sleeve/case and screen protection would help.A "Always-On case" could work as more protections since working in a laptops case should also give more protection

Are the D620 dimensions the same as the D630? If so, then a Zagg/invishield sells a protector for the D630's wrist and top.

Also, if you are interested in ToughBooks, make sure to check out the Panasonic forum...there are a lot of knowledgeable people there and some of them also sell toughbooks, so you might get lucky.

Thanks for the reply. I assume the D620 and D630 have the same dimensions, just the D630 has the Santa Rosa chipset.

I think a ToughBook is looking more and more appealing to me as time goes on... Even if I just buy it for "in the field" work.
