Hi I finally received my Intel x25-m so I inserted it in my M4400 along with dell vista x64 DVD then I selected my language and the hard-drive then I click install then an eternity later right at the end of the uncompressing file it says :Installation has been canceled>Windows could not instal in the selected language.

Where did I go wrong ? Do i need some kind of driver for the x25-m or could it really be the language or ...

As a last case scenario is it possible to ghost an installation on my other driver and put it back on the intel x25-m ?

Maybe the Dell Vista disc doesn't have your language on it, or something to that effect. Are you installing a different language than what your system shipped with?

That's how I did it. I installed W7 on my 7200rpm WD drive some time ago. Then when I got my ssd I took a full image with Acronis of the system and threw that on my intel x-25m. Worked perfectly, my laptop never saw the difference.

I'm almost certain it arrived on vista x32 french and now I'm trying to install vista x64 french but when I insert the DVD there is a custom menu asking to install in french, spanish english and two other I doubt there would be the menu if the langage were not there. Anyway I'm trying to install it in english right now

Cloning your existing HDD onto the SSD is the easiest way to get the SSD up and running (assuming you have an external enclosure and cloning software).

You were right, installation went like a charm in english. But I forgot my driver cd at work so I installed driver randomly but I have no idea if some are missing and I can't find Dell control point manager and Broadcom USH is not working properly according to device manager but I don't know which driver to download for that one
