Vostro 1000 - QuickEdit not working in XP

Hey folks,

Everytime I try to highlight some text in the Command Prompt (cmd) window, the Vostro has a loud beep.

Running XP sp3.. anyone else still using the 1000 have this issue?

I'd like to be able to cut/copy and paste from within DOS mode, but I can't!

Come on, is no one else is experiencing this issue on their Vostro 1000?

 

Sounds more of a windows issue than an issue with the laptop.
