    hi,
    I was looking into buying a Vostro 1014 or 1015 from Dell-India. I am not able to figure out if I can upgrade the RAM to 8GB later.

    Does anybody know - or have done anything similar. This would be a big help.

    Says it houses a GS45 chipset, it theoretically should be able to take 8 GB RAM, but Crucial and Dell's site says 4 GB max. I wouldn't be surprised if it could, but BIOS may limit the RAM.
