I have a Dell Vostro 1310 with the Realtek NIC. It randomly drops my network connection. I've tried DHCP and static. When it drops, I can't load any webpage. I can't ping the gateway. I can't ping others on the network. Other computers on the network still work normally. The lights on the NIC are flashing normally and the there is no indication of being disconnected.

I've replaced the cables, reinstalled the NIC and the drivers. This continue to happens randomly. It could happen while busy on the network or while idle.

The only cure I've found is to reboot; this is obviously not a permanent solution.

    Any help?
