Vostro 1310 won't boot (sometimes)

    I find when I hit the power button on my Vostro it fails to boot. Black screen with Caps Lock etc on but with Num Lock flashing repeatedly?

    After about 4-5 restarts it boots up and works perfectly until I shut it down again.

    Any ideas?

    Perhaps a bad contact somewhere. Try removing and replacing the memory.

    Seems to have helped! 5 or 6 restarts and good so far. Fingers crossed!
